Stable Lighting

Good lighting in stables is essential for routine winter tasks such as feeding mucking out and most importantly to aid good husbandry of you horse. Unfortunately many stables are situated away from mains power leaving both horses and their owners in the dark during the winter time morning and evening routine.

No mains power does not have to mean no light! Solar and wind power can be used very effectively to provide power for lighting remote buildings such as stables and field shelters.

There are many benefits of using a solar or wind powered lighting system to light your stables :

  • Aids good husbandry of your horse
  • Makes winter morning and evening routine tasks easier and safer
  • Provides light in case of an emergency (e.g if vet needs to examine horse)
  • No electricity bill to pay!
  • Often significantly cheaper to install than a mains system
  • Can be DIY installed
