1mm cable is ideal for small 12V lighting circuits typically like those installed in off grid stables and small barns.

Can also be used to run between smaller solar panels (say below 50W), charge controller and battery if total cable run is less than approx 10m (for longer runs use 2mm cable to minimise losses).
