The Efergy Smart Meter measures your electricity use every 6 seconds to tell you how much power you are consuming and how much money this is costing you. It also estimates your personal contribution to harmful CO2 emissions which contribute to climate change.  

By knowing which appliances are using a lot of electricity you can adopt new energy saving practices, which means that you aren't wasting electricity and you are saving money on your power bills.

Knowing how much electricity you are using, and having the information in front of you can make a real difference. It can't save you money on its own but it can help you change your habits.

It's Easy to Use

The Efergy wireless electricity meter is designed to be used intuitively by any member of your family.

It has an Instant Mode and a Memory Mode which help you to :

• Understand where and how energy is being used
• Identify areas where you can reduce energy consumption and save money
• Confirm whether energy-saving measures are working

Check all appliances and lights are off when you go out, go up to bed or away on holiday with a quick glance at the Efergy's large clear LCD display.

The Efergy meter is an excellent educational device. It is easy to use, displays personal energy consumption and increases awareness of important issues related to electricity, energy and the environment.

How does it work?

The Efergy pack comprises three modest components. There’s a square, portable display monitor measuring only 85mm x 85mm, a sensor and a transmitter.

The sensor effortlessly clips on to the live cable which runs from your meter to the fuse box (click on the small picture at top of this page) and samples the electric current. This information is sent via the wireless transmitter to the remote receiver (monitor) which can be wall mounted (ideally where it's easy for all to see).

The receiver computes approximate power use, energy cost and greenhouse gas generation and displays the results on a large portable LCD screen. The data is stored daily in an easy to access CPU memory so you can clearly see the effects of changing your energy habits. Comparing day-to-day usage gives you direct feedback on how changes in energy use effect both costs and your personal contribution to climate change in terms of carbon emissions.

Installation is Quick and Easy

The Efergy Smart Meter can be safely installed in minutes with no need for expert knowledge or assistance.

1. Insert batteries (not supplied) in the transmitter and display units, and push the Link button
2. Insert the sensor plug into any of the 3 sockets provided on the transmitter
3. Locate your electricity meter and find the live feed cable
4. Clip the sensor around the feed wire suppling electricity to the home or office
5. Attach the transmitter near the sensor

The information is now ready to send to the monitor using Efergy's wireless network technology - simple!

If you have a three phase supply or economy 7 meter, you may need additional sensors. These can simply be plugged into the additional sockets at the base of the transmitter.
