How it works

Using the most advanced Thin Film solar cell technology, Solar Mate Point 5’s solar panel powers it's three internal AA rechargeable batteries (located in the light unit) during the day, ready for operation once the sun goes down. 

The Solar Mate Point 5 light unit contains 10 super bright LED’s, which are powerful enough to illuminate an area of approximately 9sq metres or 93 sq feet. 

It can be activated either by its ON / OFF switch, located on the light unit or by the supplied remote control and will provide light for up to 3 hours per day.

The Solar Mate Point 5’s light unit attaches to the Solar panel via a supplied 6 foot cable. As with all solar products - the solar panel should be mounted where it will catch the most sun possible. For best performance it should be south facing and angled towards the sun in an un-shaded position.

Thanks for the solar shed light, it arrived promptly and I installed it over the weekend. So far it is working very well.
