Customer Review of Sunsei SE1200 Kit The Sunsei kit has worked very well. When the boat is moored, there are some safety devices which continue to be switched on and use battery power even when everything is apparently switched off (automatic bilge pumps, gas alarms, bilge alarms, &c...). I used to keep the boat plugged into a shoreline which powered a 3-stage battery charger which kept the deep cycle batteries fully charged..... I have now replaced the shoreline with the solar panel - and it works fine (at least for now given the longer days); the domestic batteries are maintained in a fully charged state, and the charge controller cycle seems to work fine. As the days draw in in the autumn, I may look to enhance the installation either by increasing the number of solar panels or by adding a wind turbine. We have managed quite a lot of canal cruising in the last few months though - we find it is a cause of instant relaxation.... Next project is a little bit of re-painting when the sun shines.
